Kick Ass CHICKs In Fiction: Storm

At CHICK we have had a common theme brewing beneath the surface. Fear. Or more specifically kicking fear’s ass.

Fear incapacitates us, we freeze. We lose focus.  So how can we overcome this fear? Do we just punch it in its proverbial face? Do we ignore it?

This month our Kick Ass CHICKs In Fiction series is dedicated to Ororo Munroe , aka Storm, a woman who has overcome fear time and time again.

Despite her magnificent power Storm comes face to face with fear on a daily basis.  Most notably, her battle with claustrophobia. Being in a confined place is very difficult for Storm, who has the power to manipulate the weather and fly freely through our atmosphere.

On many occasions Storm has found herself in situations where she must confront her claustrophobia for the safety of others and herself.  That is pretty bad ass!

Storm may never enjoy confined spaces, but she will still beat the shit out of fear despite her internal anxiety.  She has learned to harness her inner powers as much as her extraordinary mutation.
